NoteDock is a macOS menu bar application that supercharges your Google NotebookLM experience. It lets you quickly capture notes, upload files, and manage sources — all without leaving your current workflow. Think of it as a productivity bridge between your desktop and NotebookLM.

NoteDock uses an embedded web view to connect to Google NotebookLM. Simply log in with your Google account as you normally would on the NotebookLM website. Your credentials are handled entirely by Google — NoteDock never stores or accesses your password.

NoteDock supports a wide range of file formats including:

Documents: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown (.md)
Books: EPUB
Images: PNG, JPG, JPEG, HEIC, WebP (with OCR text extraction)
Web: URLs and pasted web content

Some formats (like EPUB and images with OCR) require the Pro subscription.

NoteDock includes Smart Chunking technology. When a file exceeds NotebookLM's source size limit (approximately 500,000 characters), NoteDock automatically splits it into optimally-sized chunks and uploads them as multiple sources. This is handled transparently — you just drop your file and NoteDock takes care of the rest.

Your NoteDock Pro subscription is managed through Apple. To cancel:

1. Open System Settings on your Mac
2. Click your Apple ID at the top
3. Select Media & Purchases
4. Click Manage Subscriptions
5. Find NoteDock and click Cancel Subscription

You'll continue to have access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.

Absolutely. NoteDock stores all data locally on your device within a sandboxed container. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information, files, or content on any external server. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. Your data stays on your Mac.

Google NotebookLM's web interface is the full-featured research tool. NoteDock enhances your workflow by providing:
