1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using NoteDock for NotebookLM ("NoteDock", "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Service Description
NoteDock is an independent, third-party macOS desktop application designed to enhance your workflow with Google NotebookLM. NoteDock provides features such as quick note capture, file uploading, smart chunking, and source management through a convenient menu bar interface.
NoteDock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Google LLC or any of its subsidiaries. "Google" and "NotebookLM" are trademarks of Google LLC.
3. Account & Authentication
NoteDock does not require its own account registration. To use the core functionality, you must log into Google NotebookLM using your own Google account through the embedded web view.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
- NoteDock does not store, access, or process your Google password
- Your use of Google NotebookLM through NoteDock is also subject to Google's Terms of Service
4. Subscription & Payment
NoteDock offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Pro") with additional features.
- All payments are processed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework
- Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are as displayed in the App at the time of purchase
- You may manage or cancel your subscription through macOS System Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Refund requests are subject to Apple's Refund Policy
- Free trial periods, if offered, will convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial period ends
5. Intellectual Property
The NoteDock application, including its name, logo, design, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of NoteDock and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App
- All content you create, upload, or manage through NoteDock remains your property
- NoteDock does not claim any ownership over your content
6. Disclaimer
NoteDock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Specifically:
- NoteDock is not a Google product. We do not guarantee the continued availability or compatibility of Google NotebookLM's web interface
- Changes to Google NotebookLM's interface or API may temporarily or permanently affect NoteDock's functionality
- We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from security vulnerabilities
- We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of OCR text recognition or file conversion results
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NoteDock, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Business interruption
- Costs of substitute services
Our total liability for all claims arising from or relating to the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using NoteDock at any time by uninstalling the application. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at our discretion, including but not limited to cases where:
- These Terms are violated
- The App is used for unauthorized or illegal purposes
- Continued operation becomes impracticable
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
